Casement Windows
The ever-popular casement, or side-hung window has been a well-known opening style for many years. However, Wittmont’s re-design of this old favourite, producing the Sorrento range, has transformed it into something very special. Tested to ensure a weather-tight seal in all weather conditions, the Sorrento is the responsible choice for maintaining a regular temperature in your home when extreme temperatures demand sashes be closed and airconditioning/heating be turned on. Wittmont’s specially designed rebate system ensures the quality seal clients have come to expect from any Wittmont product.
With a uniquely built-in winder mechanism, only the winder handle, latch and scissor-action stay are visible (in the open position). With hardware quality- and time-tested, you can rely on the Sorrento for smooth everyday use and a perfect seal every time.
When hung on the correct side, the Sorrento will pick up the faintest of our summer ‘sea breezes’ as it arrives at the end of a hot day. Sorrento sashes are able to be opened out a long way – to betweem 70 and 90 degrees – to really open up your home, when required. The quality hardware is also available in a heavy duty option for very large sashes or very windy areas.
Timber flyscreens are supplied with all Sorrento windows on the inside of the sash. Simply dropping into a frame rebate without the need for screws, the flyscreen is easy to remove for cleaning purposes, but remains in-situ when opening and closing the window. This hassle- and insect-free system was uniquely designed by Wittmont.
With an enormous range of configurations and sash styles, there is a Sorrento suitable for almost any situation – some of which are on display in our showroom.
