Multifold Doorsets

Mosman wooden doorsets are available in a vast number of door styles, opening configurations and numbers of doors. From two doors upwards, the possibilities are enormous for what the Mosman could do for your living space: doors may all concertina open in one direction, folding to a stack at one end; they can also open from the middle with half folding back one way and the rest going the other.

They can also feature a single, independent timber door at one end, which behaves like a single Jandakot door. This is ideal when one door is required to go in an out of regularly without needing to open a number of doors. The other doors then fold back in the opposite direction to the independent door.

Hinges and handles are available in either brass plated, satin chromed or stainless steel. For securing the doors, alternate doors feature a flat handle to pull the doors back into the frame from the open position. A flat handle is also found on these alternate doors which is turned vertically when the door is in the closed position to engage pins top and bottom and secure the door into the track, and against the weather seal. These doors may also be key locked. However, as wooden doorsets do not have exterior handles and locks on all doors, most owners lock only those that do.

Opening the doors is as easy as unlocking with the key and disengaging the pins by returning the flat handles to the horizontal position. Now the handles may be used to guide the doors back to the stack at the end in the open position.

Quality, adjustable, load bearing hardware ensures trouble-free operation and easy use for years.

When looking to purchase a Mosman, consider these points:

Mosman doorsets include: Henderson bi-fold hardware, key lockable espagniolette bolts, weather seals, handles and fitting of doors into the frame.

Bi-Fold doorsets function at their best when designed with an even number (eg. 2, 4, 6 etc.) of folding panels. If the opening width suggests an odd number (eg. 3, 5, 7, etc.) of panels is more suitable, the design should include one hinged independent door on the one end of the frame. The folding panels will fold to the opposite end of the frame. Due to hardware limitation each leaf must be no wider than 900mm.

Because Wittmont uses espagniolette bolts, Jandakot and Mosman wooden doors may be up to 3000mm in height without any adverse effects on reliability or operation.
