Most of the grand old homes have double hung windows that open onto verandahs, removing the risk of injury as someone moves past – especially children who are often at a vulnerable height.
Our Winthrop windows NEVER rattle in the wind and NEVER stick or bind. (This was common with the weight and balance type hardware and spiral balancers used for the old style double-hung windows). Supplied with a sash lock per pair.
A single flyscreen externally over the sash pair is standard for a Winthrop window.
